Frequently Asked Questions
Does Starkville offer curbside recycling pickup?
No. The city discontinued curbside recycling in 2020. The primary option is the Think Green drop-off at 506 Dr. Douglas L. Conner Drive, open weekdays 7 AM–4 PM and the first Saturday of each month.
Are plastics accepted at Starkville Recycling?
No. Plastics are not accepted at the Think Green drop-off because there is no local market for recyclable plastics. Glass is also excluded. The program accepts cardboard, paper, and metal cans only.
Do I need to be a Starkville resident to use the recycling drop-off?
Residency is not a stated requirement. The program is open to the public, and Mississippi State University students and area residents regularly use it.
