Recycling in East Dublin: A Local Guide

East Dublin, located in Laurens County just across the Oconee River from Dublin, Georgia, has two recycling-related facilities — but they serve very different purposes, and knowing which one fits your need saves a wasted trip.

US1 Recycling Inc at 1259 GA Highway 199 South is East Dublin's scrap metal and recycled plastics buyer. Open Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, US1 purchases aluminum, copper, brass, iron, stainless steel, radiators, and lead-acid batteries from both individuals and businesses. The company also handles scrap plastic recycling and offers commercial baling and compacting services for businesses generating high volumes of plastic waste. This is the facility to visit if you're clearing out scrap metal, old vehicles, or industrial plastic materials.

DAR PRO Solutions at 508 US Highway 80 is a completely different type of operation — a commercial-only used cooking oil collection and grease trap service run by Darling Ingredients Inc. DAR PRO serves restaurants, cafeterias, and food-processing businesses in the Dublin area, collecting used fryer oil and converting it into renewable diesel and bioenergy products. There is no public drop-off at this location; individual residents cannot bring materials here. Food-service businesses interested in free UCO collection can contact DAR PRO at 877-934-5217.

For general household recyclables — paper, plastics, glass, electronics — East Dublin residents should explore options in neighboring Dublin, GA or other nearby Georgia cities such as Warner Robins or Macon. Laurens County residents can also contact the county solid-waste department for curbside or event-based recycling options.
